I decided to call this House of Dangers for a couple of reasons. While we were checking out the property at the side of the house we almost walked right into an open well. Not five feet away was another one. Venturing here I would use extreme caution. They are hard to see because of the tall grass. The house is in rough shape.
While getting ready to leave, someone that we assumed was associated with the farm came up and asked us what we wanted. We thought we had better leave and try go back another time. A 25 year old American army pilot named James Breathitt died on September 11, 1938 when his plane crashed on route from Washington to his home base near Detroit, Michigan. Breathitt encountered bad weather and ended crashing after hitting the top of a tree.
Member Che writes: This house originally belonged to the Eddie family and is located next to the Eddie Cemetery. Eddie cemetery is considered a pioneer cemetery but is not abandoned. The first owner of the farm was William Eddie who originally settled here in 1834 from Scotland. The cemetery was established in 1845. An open well is located on the left side of house and caution needs to be used when walking around this property.

Friend of mine told me the other day that human remains have been discovered there in a crawlspace recently and OPP are investigating. Does anyone know if this is true?
LOL! a very loud trio of seniors? [saving their hearing aid batteries, no doubt]
Thanks to you Dave for finding this place again and posting more pics , never got the chance to get out that way again to try and find it .
thanks for the heads up on the wells , i bring a walkie talkie as well in case of this it also has a find feature if i cant respond :)
Great Find. Open wells are always a concern. Also - former out house/septic locations. Having a walking stick or even a solid branch to check out the ground around helps.

House and barns are all gone as of October 2022, looks like it's been gone for awhile.
