Hazards

Fenced off as it appears to be in active demolition. Bricks have been stripped and the building looks structurally unsound.

History

The Oshawa Portuguese Club was founded in 1978. In 1993 the founders purchased this hall and were active for a few years at this location. In the early 2000s they sold this building and settled into their current active location on Simcoe Street South. This hall building has sat vacant for decades. There isn’t any record as to when the front stairs were removed but they have been gone for at least 6 years. The process of demolishment started sometime between 2025 - 2026. As of April 2026 they are still in the early stages of demolition.

About this location

Currently there are construction crew and trucks surrounding the back and right side of the building. I believe it’s being demolished since the other bricks have been removed. It’s possible to see inside through the windows. The inside looks empty and bare with only the wooden skeleton being visible. Unable to find any documents with demolition or development plans for this specific address.

Bare Bones

Exterior photos. Didn't attempt to enter as it is completely gutted, therefore not worth it.
