History

The Don Valley Parkway's section between Lawrence Avenue and Sheppard Avenue opened in 1966, which included a partial cloverleaf interchange at York Mills Road. The northwest ramp, which allowed westbound York Mills traffic to merge onto the southbound DVP, quickly proved to be a problem. The merge point sat too close to the southwest exit ramp, forcing incoming and exiting traffic to cross paths, creating chronic bottlenecks and a significantly higher accident rate than any other ramp at the interchange

The ramp operated this way for nearly 40 years before the City finally addressed it. In 2005, during reconstruction of the York Mills overpass, the northwest ramp was permanently closed and the interchange was reconfigured with all ramps consolidated to the south side of York Mills Road. A berm was built along York Mills and a noise wall was added along the DVP, effectively hiding the old ramp from view

About this location

I would say this is a cool hike except it doesn't really lead to anywhere worth a "hike"
