The "Cedar Croft Motor Court" consisted of eleven frame cabins of various sizes located at 494 Lakeshore Road West in Oakville Ontario.

It was establshed in 1925 by Sherman Powley who(a)s parents had previously operated a dairy farm on that property.

In 1946 operation was taken over by Warren Powley the Son of Sherman.

In 1954 Warren separated the eastern part of the property either selling or giving the land to his daughter and her husband where they set up the "Old English Inn" tourist cabins.

The 1978 Canadian Movie "High-Ballin" with Helen Shaver , Peter Fonda and Michael Ironside was in part filmed at the "Cedar Croft Motor Court"

The scene where the cabin gets shot up took place in cabin number 10.

The "Old English Inn" tourist cabins closed in 1986 and the "Cedar Croft" closed in 1996.

The property was purchased by "Appleby College" and the cabins were demolished in 1997 to allow for expansion of the Appleby College playing fields.

The photo of the sign is from 1965.

The other photos I took with a "Kodak Instamatic" in 1986 and only recently got around to scanning them.
