About this location
This might be the first abandoned house I ever visited many many many years ago. I looked in the database and could not find an entry. I have never been inside as it has always been locked.

Owner was nice to us as well, but a different story than "she lived here for 50 years". She said a bachelor with no children lived here and when he died, the next of kin sold it to them....:S........she was very upset recently that someone had stolen much of the copper piping.....:S.... didn't really see evidence of that...
LOOOOVED this place. No one hate me lol but I didn't ask the owner and I didn't get bothered while I was there. This location is so worth visiting. 3
There's a new feature at the bottom of this location page that says 'Show All comments', click it and the rest of the location comments drops down. Even tho she was ok with me taking pictures she asked that I not go in it again, but ya never know.. never hurts to ask :-) Its a great house.
@ Kenndruuh...Trailpro was caught out here. Comments show that the owner lives next door. There's your potential in.
Anyone know how I can get a hold of the owner? I'd love to visit this location.
Lucky the owner was so nice and didn't accuse you! While we appreciate the stories and beauty these houses can bring, a fat new lock says "I care about this place, it's mine, so f off" and that should be respected. I think most of us here agree with this perspective.
It was warm inside he had the wood stove going. His bathroom is the outhouse. I can't believe he lives there tho with rodents and raccoons. He knows about the people at 'absorbed' house.
There's another one down the road between this one and 'Absorbed' house that looks totaly abandoned but its not. Beside the large solar panels in the farmers field. A man named jim lives there. Claims to be watching it for the owner..i say squatter. Nice guy, we chatted for a bit lol. He showed me the inside and some work he's done to winterize it.
A gracious owner...I've met one or two. She certainly didn't need to be. I'd have asked how much for those kitchen chairs...they kicked ass.
She mentioned the busted padlock (whichever door that was on) and that someone else was there recently. I went in thru the front door.
Be careful going here..the place is watched. The farm beside it owns it. The lady owner guestioned me and i told her about my hobby but not the website. I showed her my pictures and she was ok with it but just asked that i don't go in there again. She was nice, said she lived there for 50 yrs. Said they were going to fix it up at one time but may just take it down now.
That is disappointing... Damn vandals... Buuuut if it weren't for them... It just felt like a get in and get out house... No timely lingering.
Same setup for our visit. No spooked feeling, just not impressed with the lock vandalism as phrenzee mentioned.
So no weird heebie jeebies? When I was there a wire coat hanger was twisted around the knob...
Let's talk about our feelings... Did you feel fight or flight while you were there Phrenz? I wanted a prompter then prompt trip... GAH this place made my skin crawl. I can't explain it. Completely on edge, but on another note, completely charming. What's your take?
Go nuts! But it is GREATLY appreciated when our descriptions are transferred as well... Some of them take some time to whip up. Thanks!
this is the same as as the 9017 house, an admin may want to roll them together
Way to go Gnd...had this one marked from last Saturday as well. Looks like some cool remnants left behind.
