About this location

The Cedar Chuckwagon was a roadside restaurant, giftshop and gas station and went out of business in the late 1980's. The main building is rather large with 2 other out buildings on the property. The buildings have fallen victim to the rigors of nature. Please take care if you choose to explore because the floor beneath the carpet in the 'residence' side of the main building has completely rotted and is very unstable. It is NOT recommended that access to the upper floors be attempted due to deterioration of the staircases. The out buildings also pose a hazard due to the amount of garbage strewn about inside them. Be careful and enjoy the 'splore!

Also, I didn't personally encounter any ghosts or ghostly activity, as a previous explorer had experienced, but I did disturb a resident family of swallows! Pictured in my gallery is 'mother' staring me down after I had inadvertently scattered her fledglings from their perch beneath the Kodak sign! After flying kamikaze style around my head, I had decided that it was best to vacate the area so that mommy could get a handle on her young once again!

Cedar Chuckwagon 2025

The main building still stands, however the area surrounding it has become fairly overgrown. Shot on 35mm film (eastman xx) with my pentax k1000.

Great location! - a real surprise that it was so accessible. I always love a hoarder junk pile... seriously!
