About this location

Situated at the eastern end of the street and hidden by an overgrown lot in front, without seeing the laneway one would not know there is a house up there. The laneway itself is spooky depending on the day. The forest of mostly cedars in front only adds to the spooky feel about the place. I have no idea as to how long the place has been abandoned and had been boarded up but on my most recent visits someone had made it accessible so I went in. Quite dark and creepy. Strange piles of Christmas decorations scattered about. I didn't venture into the basement.

From Cyryn Fyrcyd :

House 300 stands in behind full grown pine trees. Hidden and tucked away from the somewhat busy street, that it resides on. The property is stunning, set on an acre of land. Right in the heart of Guelph House 300 has been abandoned for only 2 years, left to wither away in the winter of 2010. Adorned with christmas decorations still, the house calls out for attention to bypassers, hikers and dog walkers. However, it does go unoticed of your not looking for it. I was told of this place by a local, stating that if your not paying attention, you will miss it. I nearly did, because the dense pine trees hide it so well. The P.O.E. was a bit intense, a small 2 by 2 foot window in the basement cold cellar. Scratching the crap out of my arms, I managed to slide right in. The basement was the first, usualy I leave it to the last. Full of amazing decay and quirky postcards of animals, that filled one door. The main area had some awesome retro wallpaper. I loved the living room, white with red design with green flowery curtians to section off doors. The upstairs was interesting, the smallest bathroom I've ever seen. A room that had an amazing closet chest. (You might want to watch the video, Epsiode 8. We Are Abandoned on Youtube) Along with some cool features to capture.

Caught on fire late April: http://www.guelphmercury.com/news-story/5594029-abandoned-building-on-water-street-catches-fire-in-guelph/ (Assuming this is the right place?)

He was supposed to change the title too. He wanted to keep it public so hiding the coords was the middle ground. Then the reorganization happened. If someone could change the Title, might be a good idea. It's pretty close to a school. Guelph guy has not logged on since the creation of this location. Whatever admin decides, I dunno.

Looks like entry creator changed the address a while back. No idea why hidden, the place is nothing special.

Nice! I had no idea there was a place there, will have to check it out. Maybe recent squatters or just a dump spot for someone.
