About this location
Will update with history shortly. This is the old Woodstock General Hospital, whose residents moved to the new one built last year just off Mill Street. Very interesting place, looks like the doctors and nurses had fun scrawling all over the walls before he big move; seems like a very tight and happy bunch, especially the mental health ward. :)
There is some security still on the site. I encountered a security guard on my way out and we had a friendly chat, though he told me kindly not to come back. YMMV.

Know wonder the security guard asked you not to return it looked like it was being torn down while you were inside it!!! In one shot the machinery looked like it was picking up a load a rubble as you looked out the window. Brave girl!!

Looks like they are in the process of demolishing the hospital. Any idea what will be built there next?

Thank you to the people who posted a gallery of this place. I was born here, so it would have been incredibly awesome to get inside personally, but photos will have to do. :)
