The remains of Golden Foods Ltd, a small poultry processing facility in Ridgeville. Not too many signs remain that this used to be a slaughterhouse, as most of the equipment is gone. The house that sat out front has been demolished. Slaughterhouse likely will not last long either, as a new home is being framed further back on the property. Strangely though the work seems like it may be in limbo, as nothing seems to have changed at this site for a few months.

I can't even count the number of houses I've seen that should be vacant but aren't...different standards of living I guess.
is there a brand new house located behind this place? I thought I was already out here but the house on street view was gone and there was a big new house behind the barn.
You've got me second guessing too looking at the topo. But I would have noticed. There must have been subconscious signs of habitation - fresh garbage at the road? Flowers? I don't know... something, because I didn't think twice about that driveway.
Looking at the satellite image - ..is that an active property beside it? Kinda looks like an abandoned house at the end of the long laneway..
