Six families took farm lots on a rock hill just east of the Nipissing Rd. at the end of Rock Hill Rd.. It was located just straight west of Starrat and Royston. Their farms were surrounded by swamp and trees.
They did not have a church or school so they used nearby Starrat(a)s. Their post office ran from 1894-1908. Like Royston, all that remains is their pioneer cemetery, which is said to be located at Lot 7, Concession 4 online.
A Rock Hill Rd. leads east from the Nipissing Rd. but ends just past a creek bridge in the middle of nowhere (this is where the center of the community existed); also, a road leads west from Starrat and also ends in a dead end. These roads once connected. Check this old map to see: http://maps.library.utoronto.ca/datapub/digital/G3522_A4_506_1946.htm
