Do you guys think its okay to tell family members of the last owners of abandoned homes that their family member left things behind there? if so how do you go about it? I'm asking because i found out about 6 months ago that one of my partners childhood friends is the grandchild of the man who lived in a location on here. Ive been there many times and seen all the stuff left behind by this man and I'm unsure if it would be overstepping to tell him. The house was abandoned over a decade before he was born, and I dont think he knows anything about it/that it ever belonged to his family. Should I tell him? he lives with his parents just down the road from the house. I just don't want to overstep or upset him or his parents as I don't know the storytelling. All I know is that it was owned by his grandfather and now its owned by the next door neighbours who are family friends of ours (and theirs?) I hope this makes sense, its just been weighing on me a lot since I found out.

**Hello**, I'm quite fresh to the fourm. I have been exploring for quite some time, and I figured I'd look around for people with common interests. I'm not great with being very social, or really posting anything online so please forgive me. All I have is a camera and a flashligh and I'm trying to learn photography as I go. Applying for Level 3 Election again! Addressing the critique from my previous Level 3 election, I've accumulated interiors for more than twenty Level 2+ locations (including those that were downgraded after demolition). In keeping with OAP's and my own standards, I always provide write-ups based on both on-site and online research. I honestly don't know what else to say - my overall attitude towards urbex hasn't changed since my last election: while I'm not as prolific as others, I try to do my best in this hobby, being respectful of locations and helpful to other members of the community. While there's periods when I can't find anything at all, I'm definitely in this for the long haul.

Hello OAP, its been awhile since I applied for level 2 (almost a year i believe!), so lets try this again! if you are active in the GTA and simcoe area youve likely seen one of my albums or locations as nightmapzz (i have since changed my username). Ive been exploring for a few years now and made my account when i first started, but only really became active on here last year, but ive finally added 20 level 2+ locations. thought it would be sooner but man you guys really seem to get around and find spots i thought nobody knew of haha Im awful at writing these things but thank you for your consideration!

Hey everyone in the OAP community, I felt like it's time for me to put in an election for level 3 as I have been a level 2 for over 7 months now and I have been on the platform for over 10 but started posting around 8. I looked at my stats and feel like I have met the minimum requirements for level 3. I'm not really sure on what I should add or talk about in this post as I talked on a lot of stuff in my election for level 2 such as why I wanted to explore and what got me into it, when I started taking pictures, etc. During my time as a level 2 it has helped me find a couple of locations to explore, take better photos and videos, write better write-ups and I even came back to many of the locations I posted without interiors and posted them. I have also did the same to a few other locations uploaded by other users from years ago. I also like to update everyone on the status of locations which haven't been posted in a while just in case they have been demolished or if they became active again so people know. Thank you for taking the time to read this and deciding whether or not I become level 3 but if anyone has any feedback please comment it down below as I would love to hear it as it helps me improve and grow! After exploring for a couple years, I've more recently started to post my explorations on OAP, and now feel ready to apply for level 2 as I feel that I meet the requirements. If you look at my uploads, you can see that I have 16 albums and 8 locations, which meets the level 2 criteria. Even though some of my older albums were exteriors, I still meet the interior quantites needed for level 2, and have beeen uploading more higher quality content as of late. In addition, I've also explored some high-tier locations that I believe to be meaningful contributions for the site. I also have many albums that I have not uploaded yet, and would like to use the opportunity of being granted level 2 to continue to post and contribute to this community. I appreciate the consideration!

Hi! I've been an active user on OAP for about a year now, after finding this website I was hooked, I couldn't stop. Before OAP I would spend hours searching on google maps streetview to see if there was any hint at an abandoned location, this site has made it so much easier for me, and it's so fun to log and document all of my photography! I've yet to upload all of my findings and photography, but I believe I should be promoted to level 2 with a lot of my location contributions and findings being level 3 locations, and my active usage on this site! I have a big passion for urban exploring and now that it's summer again I cant wait to start back up and explore even more this year! Urban exploring has given me access to so many beautiful sights and memories with my friends :) I love this hobby!
