Goodbye OAP

I stumbled across such an interesting abandoned place today, it was such a beautiful find. When I got home I decided to look into it and I came to OAP like I have for many years and I get asked for money to be able to find out about this place. Are you kidding me? I have since deleted all of my content from here that I possibly could. It was sad doing it but so nice going through so many great memories of so many beautiful places. Some that were suggested to me from Rick Cooper when he and his wife would see places in my area as they were passing along in their boat and would message me so enthusiastically that I just had to go check these places out. Of course I always would. Which contributed to many locations on this site from the beginning of it all. I remember so many ups and downs through the years and many many great people who I have met along the way. To be asked for money to have full access to this site after all this time and contribution is so insulting. I am saying goodbye and enjoy the last 19 locations I wasn't able to erase. Explore safely and responsibly friends xo -itsme

Hello, I am The Alarm Guy, I'm from BC and am an amateur explorer. I used to be pretty active during the pandemic but not so much any more. I am a big security system enthusiast and tinker with different systems in my spare time. If anyone wants information on security systems, I am more than happy to provide information, what you do with that information is not my concern, but I will provide information solely for the purpose of helping people make informed decisions on exploring places. Hey! I just round OAP and joined a few days ago. I've been doing this urbex thing for a while and didn't know there was a community. So great to be here. there are lots of helpful tips and some rules that I hope I am following (very excited to post my recent find!) then dont ask in the forum. those forum posts/comments are boring and don't contribute anything. use your eyes, the website (there are more locations here than you can see. contribute a bit and learn about location levels) and please consider going outside. i will be deleting any of those threads asking for locations made after this one. ill add more in the comments should the need arise. feel free to give some tips on how to find locations in the replies here if you want to, just so this thread doesnt feel entirely pointless, but please do not ask for recommendations or anything for your/a specific region.

Hey there everyone, how are you doing. This is my first forum and I'm new here so don't really know how this works. I'm looking to find an abandon place to explore in the Brampton area. I live near Sandalwood Heights and can travel to places using my bike. I'm planning on exploring with friends. Are there any suggestions? Me and my friend found a building that's in perfect condition. The business relocated their centre to a new building and the old building has no active security and only a few cameras out of the way. There are about 6-7 trailer doors and all the other doors are either locked or are accessible through keycards. We found a way to get to the roof and we thought maybe one of those doors up there may be unlocked but it was raining the day we went so we didn't want to try climbing anything. If anyone has any tips I would appreciate it. I also don't remember seeing any windows that would be able to open but again if anyone has any advice I would appreciate it.

Exploring solo vs group

What are people's preferences when it comes to exploring alone or with friends? I've only ever done solo missions. I assume that having someone around is useful for assisted climbing, watching for alarms, etc., but you also have to coordinate and the bigger group might attract more attention.
