I had gone and done some light to medium bushwacking (with a large knife) to access a place I thought would be neat and shot a location added to the site previously. I removed possibly about 20 ticks climbing up me on the excursion. On the bus, I had to take out a smaller knife to crush and kill 4 more I found. Once home I came across 3 more and 1 still after I showered. I checked my bag but I must have had one in it. Nothing there this morning but this afternoon I found a tick that had bit. Do your research and learn how to identify those parasitic fuckers. It's my first bite but it came out nicely and exploded better. This will only get worse in the future as the conditions become better and better over time for ticks. Out of all the ticks, maybe 2 were deer ticks, but a dog tick bit me. Preferable. **You have been warned** _(if you didn't know how bad they can be)._

Good storm drains around the Vaughan/upper Toronto area?

I'm planning to go draining today, but I don't know if I can go to my usual location cause of the fumes deep inside, as I don't have anything to counteract the gases. I was wondering if you guys new any other storm drains in a reachable distance from Vaughan. I've heard of the Gargantua drain but have never been and am not aware of any entrances. If there's anything you guys could suggest me to bring that would also be appreciated.

Abandoned Parking Lots in industrial areas

Hey there,  I want to practice drifting in my car, mainly to do donuts and get good at throttle control. I obviously don't want to annoy anyone while doing it, any abandoned parking lots in Ontario? I'm whiling to go far. J

Hi, I just made an account so I’m assuming that’s probably why I can’t post a location. It’s saying I didn’t verify my account though & I definitely verified my email if that’s what it means. I have a bunch of photos of a location from years ago, I hope that it’s okay to post them now. It’s of an abandoned house that is still standing to this day. I know the exact location too. Can someone explain how this site works in terms of your account getting verified?

TL;DR: admin let me create sites I've been doing urbex for a while and never really paid attention to this site cuz i thought all the sites were trash but now that I realize this place has levels for location quality i'm behind, I cant create sites until admin approves but I have stuff up to level 4 sites and even stuff I won't post here. I also have a new instagram account: urban\_monke.

Hello, I am a small business owner as well as an explorer. I am launching an all hand sewed by me, clothing brand at the end of the year. If you look at some of my precious content [@nadabunjevac](Www.instagram.com/nadabunjevac) on ig - I have shot in abandoned locations for my brand like up in meaford and in Burlington. i have a photoshoot I’m doing and sadly I’m lacking finding a suitable location. I take really good care of locations, have had this account since 2016. Looking for something without 2 hours radius (give or take) from Burlington, ON - more quiet and out of the way so I can take photos for a few hours without worry. if anyone is willing to personally message me or requesting other information of my previous explore history to ensure my credibility. thanks, * Cowabelle

Can't seem to get my account to work

I'm assuming this site is in a transition period. I've been using it for about a year and did not notice the account feature until around a week ago. I'm trying to get my photos and locations up in hopes of leveling up (as well as joining and participating in this community :D). Thing is, the verification system seems to be broken. I get an invalid domain error. I notice that the domain has changed from abandonedontairo.com to ominous.app. I'm assuming this is the issue, but maybe it's a client side problem? Any help would be greatly appreciated!

I've recently got a new job allowing me alot more free time than I'm used too. I've been living like a hermit since covid and I'd like to do something with my life other than watch TV or play video games after work. I loved exploring abandoned places as a teenager with some friends and I wanna get back into the scene and start an urbex photography account focused on the commercial and industrial. I feel as if there are alot of coverage on old residential abandoned sites but not much on old mines, power plants, warehouses, factories etc. If anyone knows any places that fit the commercial/industrial theme (preferably within a 50km bubble around barrie for now), it would be a blessing. If you wanna keep it quiet from the majority, feel free to reach out to me on discord; Kurz #3776. It will only be me or me and a friend going to these places to take pics. I don't plan on posting any locations/ exact coords without explicit permission from the provider of the site location on any form of social media, I'll only post pictures. Ty in advance!

My friend of 6 years is finally coming to toronto (horray!) - Are the any locations anyone would suggest in or around the toronto area to hold a picnic? It will be very small, max three people in total, and we know to keep our load light, but we're not sure what location would do the idea justice. Any suggestions or tips?
