Behnke off Hwy 63 ( Trout Lake Road)

There is apparently an abandoned town called/in Behnke, Ontario.  If travelling along Hwy 63 (Trout Lake Road) heading towards Quebec from North Bay, just pass Hwy 533, there is a green sign that says Behnke 26(?) khms  The story goes that this use to be a booming  town but some “tragic“ event occurred and the entire town moved away.    The road into Behnke looks like a cow path but we are going to head in there next Sunday with our ATVs.  Does anyone know anything about Behnke, the history etc?

im pretty new to all this. took a look at the location suggestions and theyre all years old posts and now demolished?  right as of now i explored a big house under construction in a mansion neighbourhood, an abandoned house in a forest/parc and also got chased off a warehouse by a dog before i could even get inside. how do you guys deal with cameras also.

What's in your gear bag?

So ya, what's in your gear bag, or stuff that you always take with you? I try to keep my bag sort of set up for different areas. An example would be Bear Spray, if the location is remote and includes a hike, I'll bring the spray and leave the tripod behind. If the location is more urban then the spray stays home and the tripod comes out.  Just looking for ideas and if I 'am missing something important Cheers

I had gone and done some light to medium bushwacking (with a large knife) to access a place I thought would be neat and shot a location added to the site previously. I removed possibly about 20 ticks climbing up me on the excursion. On the bus, I had to take out a smaller knife to crush and kill 4 more I found. Once home I came across 3 more and 1 still after I showered. I checked my bag but I must have had one in it. Nothing there this morning but this afternoon I found a tick that had bit. Do your research and learn how to identify those parasitic fuckers. It's my first bite but it came out nicely and exploded better. This will only get worse in the future as the conditions become better and better over time for ticks. Out of all the ticks, maybe 2 were deer ticks, but a dog tick bit me. Preferable. **You have been warned** _(if you didn't know how bad they can be)._

Good storm drains around the Vaughan/upper Toronto area?

I'm planning to go draining today, but I don't know if I can go to my usual location cause of the fumes deep inside, as I don't have anything to counteract the gases. I was wondering if you guys new any other storm drains in a reachable distance from Vaughan. I've heard of the Gargantua drain but have never been and am not aware of any entrances. If there's anything you guys could suggest me to bring that would also be appreciated.

Abandoned Parking Lots in industrial areas

Hey there,  I want to practice drifting in my car, mainly to do donuts and get good at throttle control. I obviously don't want to annoy anyone while doing it, any abandoned parking lots in Ontario? I'm whiling to go far. J

Hi, I just made an account so I’m assuming that’s probably why I can’t post a location. It’s saying I didn’t verify my account though & I definitely verified my email if that’s what it means. I have a bunch of photos of a location from years ago, I hope that it’s okay to post them now. It’s of an abandoned house that is still standing to this day. I know the exact location too. Can someone explain how this site works in terms of your account getting verified?

TL;DR: admin let me create sites I've been doing urbex for a while and never really paid attention to this site cuz i thought all the sites were trash but now that I realize this place has levels for location quality i'm behind, I cant create sites until admin approves but I have stuff up to level 4 sites and even stuff I won't post here. I also have a new instagram account: urban\_monke.
