This huge building hasn't had a very long life span. It was built for Canadian Tire Acceptance about 30 years ago from what I can gather. After Canadian Tire moved it was as a medical and pharmaceutical building. Apparently the building contained some asbestos which was probably the end of this building. They decided to build a fancy new Medical building next to it in the old parking lot and tear this one down. I decided to play on the safe side and wait for most of the building to be gutted before I went inside which unfortunately meant there wasn't much left inside to see but better then breathing in a bunch of asbestos and getting mesothelioma later in life... not that i haven't probably already done that in some of the places I have been.

I did my college co open here in 2000. That ramp used to be stairs that led through one of the departments and cubicles were on each side.

Yes, for a place that doesn't have much history or obvious character you found a lot to display.
