Recent status Demolished
Location # 14372

Burgess Battery Was opened in 1923 and closed in 1981. The Burgess Battery Company, which became an important manufacturer of dry cell batteries for flashlights, radio, and other applications. The Burgess Battery Company eventually became part of Mallory Battery, now known as Duracell. It has been partly repurposed several times since with many businesses calling this building home in the time since Burgess left.

Part of the Building remains still remains in use for what seems to be stoarge, while the rest of the structure is abandoned mainly the basement/first floor is where you will find most things worth while. With this in mind Please do not try to access the obvioulsly locked/blockaded doors that lead to the used part of the structure as they are alarmed and use common sense as to not destroy the property while looking around.
