About this location
Credit for actually finding this goes to Talker.
Word on the street is, this was a family owned funeral home that closed down between 2010 and 2015, at which point the owner retired. Gaining access is very tricky to say the least. There are active motion sensors inside but I'm not sure if they are monitored by security or not. The place still has power but the water has been shut off. This location is very unique and quite sensitive and needs to be protected.
Talker: It was only after the Niagara Funeral Home closed that financial irregularities going back years were uncovered. According to the family who owned the funeral home, an employee had been syphoning funds from families who pre-planned their final farewells. When police investigated, they found the same thing, and the employee was charged.
The fraud investigation, despite tarnishing a crucial industry, had nothing to do with the closure of the historic funeral home, however. That came about when the aging owner decided it was time to retire.
Closures of funeral homes are rare, because, pardon the pun, it isn't a dying industry. But, for whatever reason, this home didn't have a future in someone else's hands. Left behind are thousands of dollars in inventory of caskets alone, not to mention other fixtures and furnishings that could easily find a home elsewhere.
Given that the family is still around, it wouldn't surprise me if the contents will be sold off or given away to other funeral homes. I have not been back since my initial visit over a year ago, except to drive by. From the road, it looks as it was then.

This place has now been secured and I wouldn't be surprised if the alarm is active.
