About this location

Abandoned and deep in the woods, this stone Grand Trunk Railroad bridge is an awesome one. It was built with hundreds of decorative brick and likely to be here in 500 years. Park in the parking lot of the MNR Rec. area off Zion Line. See map at trail entrance[and in Gallery] and follow the Railroad bridge trail. It goes past two small fantastic lakes with birds and then back into the woods.The bridge was built around 1865.
