Green Carpet Gayle

This house will be demolished. It already has many newer, bigger houses surrounding it so it's only a matter of time... and believe it or not, the house actually sold for around $2.5 million.

The house is pretty cute. It seems whoever lived there had a fascination with the colour green, as the carpets were green, the bathrooms were green... everything was green! And green carpets really aren't a thing anymore.. so I imagine this fascination is a symbol of the era of this home.

At the front door is a pile of mail on the floor... much of it damaged from weather as the windows are all open inside (in the winter) and the door just did not close properly. The power still worked inside but the heat was turned off. The basement was fully finished as well. The house itself is not too big... but I imagine the house taking it's place will be a mansion as the lot this house is located on is very large!
