Hazards of Bloomfield community Centre

Really really bad smell, mostly dead birds. Reccomended to wear some kind of mask or something in certain parts. The roof, or upper floors have piles of dead birds, so be carefull touching surfaces. Homeless people are known to stay here, but since the old entrance was filled (it was a door to the basement) I would think it’s less so. Broken glass everywhere and sharp objects, boots are a solid idea.

History of Bloomfield community Centre

This was a community centre, and a school at one point. Located in Halifax’s north end, it’s been abandoned since the late 2000s.

This is the community centre in the north end. The old entrance was a walkway into the basement, but the newest or easiest way now is on the right hand side (if walking towards the main road) there is a window up about 10 feet or so, and a little corner of the building it rests on. So you either need to shimmy up, or find another spot.
