Hazards

Not really any hazards, maybe crumbing cement and garbage

Ticks, I really hate ticks, there almost everywhere

History

Originally built in 1793 to protect Halifax from France

Expanded for WW1

Expanded again for WW2

WW2 expansions included the gun placement, command control, and barracks on the shore

About this location

Parking is in the upper level by the older fort, which includes the 1860’s expansions to larger rifled cannons, and parade grounds.

Outside of the walls is a road that leads down to the WW2 section, which is worth exploring the gun placements and rooms, when your there check out the room with the chimney and ask yourself “is there a second level?”
