These are photos of what remains of Duncrief. This was the miller's house. Duncrief started out in 1835 when a mill was built. Its population grew to about 100 in the late 1800s. There was the mill, a general store, a wagon shop, a church and a school. The mill got washed out several times over the years, which eventually led to the disappearance of Duncrief. The general store/post office was closed by 1910.

dont go out there....the farmers are pissed off with finding people on there property without asking permission...now nobody is allowed on there at all..if you are found on his land he will call the police....thanks for ruining it for everyone by just walking onto someones private property to take a few pictures

The buildings shown are at the mid-point of Duncrief Rd. (refer to map, above) They are very old, and definitely abandoned. Newer farms have cropped up around them, however. There may be additional ruins in the area for those who have the inclination to search...
The only thing of the town that I saw that remains is what is in the 2 photo galleries. There is the old foundation on one side of the road and the house on the other. Two newer farms are indeed close by, the old house looking as though it is on the land with one of them.

Just looked this location up on google maps. Looks like the whole remainder of the town is gone. There are a few new houses now on the property :(
