Hazards
There are not many hazards, the only potential hazards are neighbors and floors (there is a building with a bunch of things scattered around on the floor.)
History
Nemiskam, located off of Highway 61, (Red Coat Trail) has always had a dilemma: was the name spelt “Nemiskam,” or “Nemiscam?” Signage throughout the town has always indicated that it is spelt “Nemiscam,” but the First Nations word for “between two valleys” is spelt “Nemiskam.”
Nemiskam wasn’t the most well-known, although in the late 1930s a robbery there popularized the town.
Foremost, just down the highway, which had more amenities, became more populated and in time, Nemiskam became an obscure town again. Students that at one time went to the Nemiskam School were bussed to the school in Foremost.
About this location
Nemiskam has a cemetery and an old building called “Nemiskam Garage.” There are quite a few INHABITED farmhouses along the streets.
