This is the Hillside Public School. S.S. No.4 - A.D. 1904. Hillside was actually built in 1853 at the South-West corner of Kirkhams rd and Finch ave. Originally Hillside was built as a one room school and in the 1850(a)s it became one of two free schools. A second school was built in 1872 about 100 feet away from the current location, it was moved and re-bricked in 1904. The school is now used as an outdoor educational centre for kids.
