About this location

Very photogenic abandonded farms lie on both sides of the road. Originally settled by George Ursa in the early 1800(a)s. By the mid 1880(a)s, Ursa had one of only two post offices located in Glamorgan Township, the other being in Gooderham.

Stephen Kettle was postmaster as well as the township clerk in 1911. Cornelius Spencer ran the shingle shop.

I have to check this place out sometime. Thanks for posting. It looks like it is the best kept secret for finding old ruined log cabins.
