LatLng on this looks incorrect
Would be interesting to see a new album of this place with the mcgregor clan flag, renovation and all lmao
Meowkitty • 1 year ago
Has anyone read the ridiculous comment on the latest album stating "McGregor Clan, Soverign Maroons" acquired this property? No, they didn't buy it, they just took it over.....

I was there for quite a few races.. I miss the place. Ken was a good guy. Sad to see.
This track was purchased in 2014 by local Ken Hill from Six Nations. It reopened in Summer of '17 under the new name Jukasa Speedway. It had two good seasons between, '17 and '18, but COVID forced it to miss the seasons for '19 and '21, and not being able to make up for the lost revenue, closed once again in 2021. It's worth noting that that Ken Hill also died that year, so it's assumed much of the track's vision and drive was lost with him.
thanks for the correct coordinates! i did mention in the description that they are not 100% accurate but it was probably tucked too deep within all the text

Visited here in September 2023 but had to leave due to squatters (Deodorant and clothing on the floor, Talking on the rafters above us)

Ahhhh, alright. I got maybe all the other units then.......It was a poorly lit flash album, and from January this year. This makes more sense to me now. Thanks eh.

This gallery is only the unit on the south side accessible from that door. Maybe that's why it looks so different? It was also pretty small and squatters absolutely destroyed it between me shooting it and posting it on here. The entire building has since opened up, with six different sublets. They were much more spacious and interesting. If your gallery has any of the upstairs floor, that's why it isn't recognizable. The entire building has been resecured again, but with abandonments on either side of it, there are no neighbours to keep squatters at bay. It opens frequently.
What month did you shoot this in and was it 2022?? I generally shoot things fairly fully but this place is entirely unrecognizable as Im sorting it out. I mean I matched up windows in my album to make sure too......WTF.

Really cool spot but it was not where the coordinates on this post are. We spent a while exploring the area and were about to give up when we finally found it! The spot is closer to these coordinates (Latitude: 43.870213 / N 34° 52' 12.767" Longitude: -79.680427 / W 79° 40' 49.535") It's along the tree line of an open field, right off of the trail. Happy Exploring!

It's completely overgrown by the surrounding foliage now. I've seen some construction vehicles nearby but no real work done yet.

This place is very cool to check out, I also saw the preserved buildings that Black Creek Pioneer Village has which I find quite interesting. I definitely recommend stopping by here if you're ever in the area!

Is it still boarded up?
