I went in recently and the power was still on. Definitely very dangerous, be careful inside.

I went to this school up until 1974 when my family moved out west. I wish it was still a school I could take a tour through it

To be honest i think a canoe might do it but swimming may be a stretch. It was 1800 meters away roughly.

Is it feasible to canoe or swim there ?

With the charred beams on the car I feel this used to be a barn long ago that these vehicles were in and it burned.

Visited today. Only building remaining is the Church. There was a sign out front that read "Due to Covid restrictions, this years annual gathering has been cancelled. Hope to see you next year." So until at least the last year or two the local Mennonite community has been using the building at least annually. No other buildings. There is one foundation close to the road that can be seen from Google maps, but besides that nothing is left. Very sad.

Holy shit lol I stood on a fire extinguisher that was on its side to take a peek. One day I'm actually gonna get rubber boots... 🙃

If you want to visit the abandoned sawmill (all that remains is its concrete structure) go to exactly (45.5709169, -78.7255533) where the round concrete dock thing is, close to where the broken railroad tracks are in the water. Walk up shore about 10m to the beaten path, turn right, boom there it is. A carved inscription of Nov 18 1938 can be seen on the flat side.
