Yes, the house is definitely still there. As of September 23, 2011.

The house is still there (looks like timo was there this weekend!) and the Google maps entry is very specific (I put it there!). Cool explore.

there is an interesting story about a guy from Preston who went to Germany for the mineral baths for arthritis. It didn't help, and the people at the German baths recommended he go to Preston Springs.

I think I'll go back in the next few weeks, bookending my visit in the spring. Fall colours will change the perspective. That big ol' dead tree will be the same though lol. I was so disappointed when I found out the mausoleum had been buried, as the first picture I saw of it was from before that had been done! So I was anticipating something more...
Thank you for posting this lost piece of history. I was in the area last month and had intended on visiting this spot, but alas time did not allow.
There is also a cairn with a plaque commemorating the Reesor Pioneers, found on the NE corner of Reesor Road and Highway#7.
Definitely a cemetery back there. Very well kept and displayed. Although this is family cemetery, by the looks of things they don't mind visitors.
Point taken...well, the grounds and exterior should make for some nice pics, especially with the crazy autumn weeds about.

This place has silent alarms and sensors You can walk around the area and take photos and what not. But don't try to get in or rattle the doors / windows really hard. Security and cops will show up in less than 5 minutes if you do A father of my sons friend does security there

I always wonder what these places looked like when they were inhabited. Nice find!
I went to public school with some kids that lived here in the 70's...
OK that is really close to home...this building formed the back border of our property in the home I grew up in right next to it lol...we moved in '87 and there was another shed beside it we used to store our gardening crap in. Literally next door to this! People are living in the dual house beside it still, are they not? The folks that used to live here were an old couple, the Dousts, and th
