I have admired this place a few times, driving past on the highway, always in too much of a hurry to check it out. I try to imagine what the area must have like on this farm before the 401 came barging through.

This quarry is your best bet for cave exploration in the Niagara region. Sometimes people will take a dozen photos of a 'deep escarpment indentation' from different angles and make it look like a big deal - this isn't one of those cases. This is the real deal: You have multiple passageways and easily a full hour (maybe two) of exploration here. Excellent excellent site! Park here: N 43°

Don't expect a rope to always be there... It disappears from time to time. I would take some insurance with you just incase (your own rope).

My Evil twisted Boss makes me work on Saturdays and Sundays... Of course as I get a five day weekend "Monday to Friday" I guess I shouldn't complain too much....

Yes there was. I also found the foundation of the grist mill and saw mill. :)
Beautiful home, love the intricate woodwork. Great photos.
Thanks, it's my first one, will probably be torn down soon as they are clearing the trees. There's lots more locations in the area, sure makes for a nice drive.

No, the Don Valley brickworks are on the west side of the Don river while Todmorden is on the east side. Some employees of the brickworks would have lived in Todmorden and the brick road was likely made from bricks produced at the brickworks.

stood there for the longest time.....memories
Yes. Also of the sawmill and the gristmill. Be careful walking around, the tall grass is beaten down but there are holes, pits and objects underneath.
That shot of the autopsy table is creepy.
Great Find. Also like the fact you bring your dogs.
