Given the reknowned urban-legend status of Screaming Tunnel, this warrants a separate GPS entry. Explorers often scour the woods behind the tunnel searching for the farmhouse ruins, but they are so heavily overgrown that they are even difficult to spot when there is no foliage. In summer, they are impossible to find without knowing exactly where to look, so these coordinates pinpoint the spot.

In the 1980s, a reporter for the Niagara Falls Review ran a week-long expose of local urban legends leading up to Halloween. In the issue focusing on Screaming Tunnel, he wanted to at least determine whether stories of a girl burning to death in the tunnel could be true. He searched through city records in an attempt to at least prove the farmhouse burned down, but was unable to find justification of even that. Indeed, there are no noticeable signs at the ruins that fire was a factor.

There are at least two open pits/cisterns on the property, so be aware of where you are stepping--especially with summer ground-cover.
