The site is relatively tame, the hazards present are mostly the obvious:
Boating/canoeing risks to get there and the hazards of fast moving water, and the relative remoteness.
Basic boating skills and common sense should cover you.
I've been searching for information on this site, why it was built and when, but haven't found a huge amount yet. Will update if I do.
I assume it once generated power for small mining or logging operations.
A pair of ruins at the south end of Raven Lake, near the Quebec border. The marker I dropped shows the southern dam, the northern section of the site is easy to see if you look north about 700m.
There are a few crumbling concrete structures at both locations, and many indications of what once was, though most of what would have been there appears to have been removed long ago.
Worth a visit just for the beauty of the lake itself and the falls, as well as some excellent looking camping spots.
Attempts at fishing however, left us disappointed.
