Hazards
There's cameras pointed at the building from neighbouring houses. On top of all that it's situated at the busy intersection of Queen and Leslie with large amounts of foot traffic passing by. The floors and stairs both show signs of decay, watch your step.
History
Originally constructed as a 2 Story mixed use commercial building in 1920, it contained a billiards room and barber on the bottom floor with apartments above. After being purchased by Yeat Lum Lee in 1947, it was converted into the headquarters and factory of Lee Food Products Ltd. This is where the well known China Lily soy sauce would be produced until 2020. There were various additions throughout the years including a steel tank dating back to 1960. It is currently slated for redevelopment with an application to have it designated as a heritage property being denied.
About this location
All the windows have lexan, plastic and plywood and the doors are sealed shut. Once inside, you'll find that the interior largely bare, save for some industrial equipment I assume was unable to be moved.
