I remember that place. I thought they were renovating the place, then one day it was gone. A damn shame.

All of this town was torn down in the name of progress!!!!!!!!!!!!!! -what a shame!
It is such a shame that people do NOT have the respect for property & or the land!! - when you see the dumping that has been done at this house!!

@phrenzee...are you sure that last pic is of this place? i think it's not. I think this was used as a rooming and boarding house. It's probably been vacant since at least about 1987.

Shame. Potential was there.

Nice find. Funny how at some point in time someone thought that covering the Log exterior with those faux brick sheets looked "good". And I agree with robertreid, nice to see that it was saved.
Nice to see at least salvaged.
You have no idea how badly I would have loved to shoot this place. I cry whenever I see pictures of the fire.
I've heard this property is watched like a hawk and usually when someone goes to explore it they get a visit from York Region's Finest. I reckon the people across the street play Security for this place from the sounds of it.

I like how the thermometer has Fahrenheit in the outer ring, and small Celsius numbers in the inner ring. That would make it transition era between imperial and metric...metric replaced imperial for temperature reading in April 1975.
Winter might be the time to visit...farm traffic should be in hibernation by then!
Would have thought someone had found this place prior and of course it would be you lol...with traffic, the farm across the road and no obvious entry point I kept it outside...maybe I should have just tried one of the doors?
I pass by here several times a week and have always wondered about this place. Kept away due to the signs and the regular farm traffic. Sure would be nice to get a closer look.

yes it is... although it barfed up a bunch of dead links, I had to use Google Cached pages. I will post the link when I'm back on my home computer T.
