This building was one of the most iconic buildings in Toronto for over the last 7 years. Previously an office building primarily consisting of brokers, this building was dubbed “Brokers Went Broke” by the urban exploring community. Word got around like wildlife, and pretty soon this building was known by essentially any Torontonian who knew the word “urbex”. Windows were smashed. Graffiti ran rampant. There truly wasn’t anything like this building during its timeframe. The longevity, the size, the building type and the popularity set it aside from other abandoned buildings in Toronto. A little more effort was put into stopping trespassers from entering in recent years. Brokers became the epitome of the urban exploring experience of “right place, right time”, as it could be accessible one week and then closed the next. But if one were to consistently check it out, your dedication would eventually pay off by being able to wander around the corpse of this 6-storey office building. Brokers was demolished in July 2025, with a future development planned for the site.

Got quite excited when I noticed this old brokers office building, so many floors to explore. From the outside, it seemed like it was in decent condition, but oh was I wrong once I walked in. There is insulation everywhere on the first few floors, then it seems to clear up towards the top. The ceiling panels are now floor panels, a lot of metal pieces hanging from the ceiling as well, so venture cautiously. If anyone is looking for a slightly used keyboard or telephone this is the right place to check out. Getting to the roof was a relief of fresh air. Can anyone recommend any decent masks against insulation?

Building has been abandoned for 10+ years and it shows. Every single wall has been torn or damaged or covered in graffiti. There are 6 floors and roof access, alongside fibreglass particles in the air...

The flooded parking garage
I found the pedestrian entrance to the flooded parking garage, but it's (obviously) flooded. The water goes up to your knees, make sure you bring proper equipment. Or wait 'til winter for it to freeze...

Hey guys, Im planning on visiting this location with 2 of my friends, anyone know if there is a POE? It is pretty far and I don't want to go there and not be able to get in.
There is a POE, it's difficult though. The bigger worry is the street, there are often cars parked outside the building. It's not security, it's some workers from nearby buildings, often the strip mall across the street.
Has anyone recently went to this building? I want to go with my brothers but not sure if it’s been boarded up and I live almost 2 hours away from the location. Lmk if anyone knows if there’s any openings or ways in. If a crowbar, or if chain cutters are needed. Lmk

It's recently been boarded off unfortunately. Butttt, a pry bar has never let one down has it?
I must say the gas smell has left, and there were no squatters as far as I could see. I recommend checking out this building out, great for pictures and exploring as long as you're careful.

Me and my friends went today and have been going there for a while now. It has been a really cool hangout spot but we have run into either squatters or taggers but we left before we could tell which.
There was a gas smell at the top floor boiler room, but nowhere else. I wasn't able to find a way onto the roof either
Also, I think I heard someone squatting on the 4th floor behind a door. they didn't say anything, but there was definitely shifting and some crunching glass
When I went like a month ago there was a ladder to like a skylight or something. maybe someone took the ladder and closed the skylight.

me and my friends went today and there appears to be no gas smell anymore, we also went up to top floor and no gas. but do bring masks just because the mold is everywhere

yeah i went there a couple days ago, you shouldn’t go anymore. the whole top floor smells like propane, so do NOT light anything of fire or spark anything. don’t go, it’s unsafe now
drove by there in October of 2019 and it still looks the same but there is a sign that says beware of dog lol
Yes, just because a location is already scrapped to shit, definitely means steal more! Great lesson to teach to people.
